While I'm sure the majority of rural MO is white, there are a LOT of other ethnicities in the St. Louis area (and I'm sure KC as well). The city more than the suburbs (as usual).
I was born in St. Louis, it's NOT that white. I was shocked at who they chose for the audience. Geesh, sometimes it seems like we just haven't moved an inch on racial equality.
And she was intelligent (and beautiful) enough (and Kerry a fine enough politician) that he referred back to her BY NAME almost 40 minutes after her question.

I believe there were only a few people of color. That just wasn't right. Minorities have a lot of concerns and many of them just were not covered in this debate.
But did we really need three questions about abortion and stem cell research, respectively? I'm sure there were some other people there that had some of the concerns that are affecting minorities. I didn't hear nearly enough about healthcare, jobs and social security.
These were supposed to be 'soft' supporters or undecided. I've canvassed a lot of African-Americans and I can't think of one who indicated any possible switch to Bush*. If anything, there was a lot of rage.
