Personally, while I think Kerry did a great job, I really think his last answer - his rebuttal to Bush's "mistakes" question - could have been stronger. Instead of launching into yet another detailed hammering of Bush's record on Iraq, Kerry should have done the following:
He should have simply stood up, looked at the questioner, then looked back at Bush, letting it be silent for a few seconds. Then he should have looked back at the lady who asked the question and said, "You asked the President to admit THREE mistakes. Did he answer your question?" He should then have turned around, looked at Bush and said, "Mr. President, you are still not levelling with the American people. In 1961, after the Bay of Pigs Fiasco, President Kennedy acknowledged full responsibility. True leaders admit their mistakes. Truth matters. The first step in solving a problem is acknowledging that one even exists. You can vote for a President who doesn't see any mistakes - a president who lives in his little fantasy world of spin. Or you can vote for someone who will level with you. "
