Bush accidentally framed the election for us
I've been hearing Bush* on the evening talking heads show and his surrogates (including that disgusting creature Melman) saying that Kerry has a "pre-9/11 mentality".

I think by accident they are framing the whole election debate for us.

The whole point of the war on terror is to return us to our pre-9/11 state...in every aspect: security, economy, employment, environment, government surpluses.

Bush want us to live in fear.

Kerry wants us to live in hope.

2. pre-9/11? yeah, like... oh about 1934 or so...
stock market crash, bank failures, massive unemployment, etc.

Only this time, we don't have the family farms to fall back on, and there is no industrial revolution going on here.

3. This is a great and simple point that Kerry can drive home.
The 90's were a validation of Democratic fiscal policy. Republicans know how to play politics....they just can't do it very well.

5. The pubbies have no excuse now that they are in complete power.
They try to blame everything on Clinton and 9-11, but that excuse is really falling flat...at least for anyone with a functioning brain.

I would love to return to a pre-9/11 state and I'll see you a year or two. Anything to get out of this Orwellian Bush nightmare.
