Has the Bush was wearing a radio rumor been confirmed?
I thought I heard it was earlier today. They said that Bush and Kerry both have to be searched for a radio before the third debate now.

4. whats your agenda. you dont want to be a part of these
threads, yet inevitably you are on all the threads with these comments. so a lot of people look at that and say, you know, just saying it is bush's backbone doesnt cut it.

we get it, you think it is bullshit, why should we just bow down to your accessment and all shut up on the matter

i personally am not convinced he isnt wired. i would like to know the truth. i want to know if he cheated. dont care anyway, since he is a dumbshit with a wire or without, but surely we are allowed to go beyond your "it is bullshit"

12. step back. I have a right to express my opinion
I've never called it his "backbone".
And I've never expected you and those with your "agenda" to bow down to my accessment.

My logic is ignored by those who wish to harp on this because they see it as some kind of stepping stone to victory or something.

Now we have people starting topics asking of it's been PROOVED YET!!

It's beyond the pale, and it's to bad it continues. It's "out there" now, fine. The media talked about it. Hopefully at some point we here at DU can get back to putting energy into real issues.

Thanks.

16. having children i am really good at multi task
i know you didnt say that about backbone, it was a whitehouse spokeperson. that is all he felt he had to say to put the issue to rest. sorry, i think that is arrogant, asked a question give me a reasonable answer, or else i will keep asking

i can easily handle this issue and a good zillion others at the same time, i am that good. bushco has made me that good, actually prior to that. all the way to the impeachment move from repugs. but bushco, man they do keep me on my toes

you logic hasnt been ignored, i think most are opened to the possibility it is a vest or other possibility, dont by a malfunction of clothes though.

wear a wire. Shouldn't he be in communication with someone at all times. Sept.11th changed everything. ...remember?

10. You're a nitwit
You think you're smart, but you're the worst kind of nitwit--the cerebral cortex nitwit who would rather be right than win.

Look, we've lost that battle before, m'kay? "Geez," sez BUSHOUT, "can't they see this whole wire thang don't make no sense?"

No shit, Mycroft. And what about that statement actually MATTERS? Answer: not a goddamn thing.

I point out to you this:

There's SOMETHING on his back

They've denied there's anything there, yet there it is.

It doesn't matter WHAT it is. It also doesn't matter that it's an idiotic topic, as opposed to something actually substantive, like the fact that he was lying his ass off every time he opened his mouth, irrespective of wires, backbraces, bulletproof vests, whatever.

What MATTERS is that they are denying and lying and in a position of being caught out. Whatever the thing is, they don't want people to know what it is, therefore we should DEMAND to know what it is, until the whole election revolves around it, at least for that five minutes,

BECAUSE THIS IS THE NITWIT GAME WE ARE PLAYING NOW, and they set the rules and we may not like it but THERE IT IS. If we're too finicky and intellEKtual and highfalutin to get into the dirt with Drudge and the rest of the sludgemeisters, then we might as well throw in the towel.

This is the kind of garbage American politcs consists of at the moment. If you don't want to get down into the sandpile and get dirty, fine. DON'T PLAY.

13. At least your honest enough to admit it doesn't matter what's there
That's something.

You play your nitwit game. If I want to weigh in once in a while I will.

If it's a rifle plate, and they don't tell you, and the election comes and goes, you can take solace in the fact that you used your time wisely.

17. Worse than a nitwit, a loser
Take what comes, and use it. All I'm saying. What are you, too finicky to get your feet dirty? There's nothing wrong with pursuing this-what's the cost? "Used my time wisely"? What's that mean? You think that pushing this meme along entails NOT pursuing other avenues? That doesn't follow.

If this is the kind of b.s. that works, then fine, use it. Unlike you, I'm not above playing the game. Throw shit and see what sticks, sez I. It's what they do. They want to go after Kerry for pulling a pen out of his jacket, fine, we'll go after the Chimp for having some large bulky object he won't talk about under HIS jacket.

Take what comes and use it. I honestly don't see what your problem is.

19. Ohhhhh. well...
nobody says it'll work asshole.

Like I said, play your little game. I'll say what I want about it when I pop in to look at all the breathless excitement over shrubs jacket by all the.....hmmmmm, how did the media describe you: "left wing looneys" I think it was.

I'll be visiting financial websites and spreadign gloom and doom about Sinclair and YUM stock. I'll be contacting PepsiCo and YUM and warning them of a lifetime ban by my family if they advertise with Sinclair affiliates and this broudcast of propaganda airs under the guise of "news". I'll be phoning investor relations and politely telling them I'm unhappy about the Sinclair decision and what are they going to do about it. And I'll be donating to JohnKerry.com and knocking on doors.

You play your little games with your little snapshots of bushs back. I wish you success....whatever your goal is. So far it appears to be pollute the forum, and ya'll been real successful in that!

21. You're logic is faulty
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 12:15 AM by DrBB
Again, I don't see your problem. You assume I'm consumed with this hunchback thing? Not hardly. I too pursue other avenues. But unlike you, I don't seem to be obsessed with cutting this one off. You're awfully steamed up about it, whereas I don't see the harm. I'll say it again: I really don't see your problem here.

on edit: "faulty logic," in that you seem to assume that pursuing this excludes pursuing other lines of attack. It doesn't.

11. No, it hasn't
...and wishing that were the case will not make it so.

The White House DENIED weewee was wearing a vest, probably because they did not want him to appear weak. Now, there was SOMETHING under that Georges de Paris jacket, and it was not his backbone, unless he is the Hunchback of Coral Gables.

So, it was either a vest, that they have denied, a medical device, such as a tens unit or holter monitor, or a wire. Either that, or it was a spare copy of MY PET GOAT, taped to his back by Karen Hughes, in a failed effort to get weewee to stand up straight.

14. Well, I can rule out a couple of those for you......
It wasn't a wire becaue the wire technology readily available today doesn't requre a box-like receiver. Just a wee little diddy in the ear. I'd agree it wasn't a backbone.

It was a rifle plate with a custom made vest. Or MY PET GOAT.
They won't say if it was a vest, so my quesiton is where can it go from there? Noplace.

I just happen to have the notepad open still with my pics.
Here you go:

The plate below is described as
Our most popular Ceramic FRONT Rifle Plate
Triple-Curved to hug your body, plus extra taper for more freedom of movement.
The Back Plate is also Triple-Curved but more rectangular

The triple curved plate would have three sides, thus the shadow would obscure two sides.

20. You've posted those
..on every thread about this subject. Everyone KNOWS what a plate looks like now, if they did not before. But the White House says, no vest. So you have to rule out the vest, unless you believe they are lying, or they duct taped the plate straight to his bare back.

You totally ignored the concept of a tens or a holter, and the size and shape fit. And you failed to consider the fact that cheaters don't always let the CIA in on their cheating ways, and may have to rely on crappier, over the counter products to keep those silly patriots who are very unhappy with weewee out of the loop.

But, whatever. You believe what you want, knock yourself out. But don't be surprised when people who don't share your opinion are not enthused with your efforts at debunking their still plausible theories.

These theories, despite your protestations, can go somewhere, if someone sits down and looks at old footage of weewee when he employs that odd pausing affect in his speech. Was he a bit LUMPY at those times, too? Let's check the ole EIGHT BALL. Shake, shake, shake, turn over. Signs point to yes......

27. Once again you're mistaken.....
....the "wee little diddy in the ear" receives an analog signal that can be picked up by anyone within about 500' with a common handheld police scanner, not something you do if you want to keep it a secret. It also has a very small but somewhat visible antenna that sticks out of your ear.

Comtek MCS-25 Micro Ear VHF Complete Set

The system I believe he uses sends a digitally encoded RF signal to the receiver (A) and then sends the decoded analog output to an Inductive Neck-loop Transductor (B) which wirelessly couples the signal to an Ear Canal Inductor. (C)

(A)

Synthesized Personal Receiver

(B)

Neck-loop Transductor

(C)

Universal Fit Ear Canal Inductor

The use of an inductive loop system also would explain the previous incidents of the voice preceding his being picked up as he tends to slouch forward and lean over the podium bringing the inductive loop in close enough proximity for the microphone elements to couple to it. :)

5. questions will keep this alive
And it should be kept alive. I would like to know why Britain, France, China, Venezuela and other international papers have looked at the same photos, and have concluded that there is some rectangular object in Bush's back. There are links to spy gear that fit exactly with the unknown object. If Bush cheated, the election committee should penalize him or at least investigate it. Other countries are suggesting this, and it's not even covered in the news. I don't get it. Is it because Rather was taken by Rove's dirty tricks and networks/media are afraid that it might be another Fox trick?

You're right, questions will keep this alive. It's a concern that should be addressed seriously. I'm curious at to where the original poster heard the rumor that it had already been put to rest. Not in this country, certainly. Not anywhere.

24. No.. not really..
The backbrace had a totally different look to it. AND.. Bush does like to lean a bit, but all the photos of him hanging out on the "ranch", golfing, fishing, etc.. he has perfect posture and NO brace. It's not a brace..

25. Did you see the photo of Bush driving his truck?
With the cowboy hat on?

You could clearly see the back brace through his T-shirt. And, during the second debate, at least, the way his shoulder blades were accentuated looked exactly the same at the truck picture.
