Cheney: "How many additional American casualties is Saddam worth?"
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 10:56 AM by rucky
"The question in my mind is, how many additional American casualties is
Saddam worth? And the answer is not very damned many. I think we got it
right, both when we decided to expel him from Kuwait but also when the
president made the decision that we'd achieved our objectives and we were not going to go get bogged down in the problems of trying to take over and govern Iraq ...

"Once we had rounded him up and gotten rid of his government, then the question is what do you put in its place? You then have accepted the
responsibility for governing Iraq."

--Dick Cheney, August, 1992

1. Too NeoCons and I think Freepers too
No cost of life and expense to great as long as they don't have to die and taxes are cut to get Saddam.

2. Unfair!
That was before Saddam planned 9/11!

It's also unfair that I'm hearing it from you now rather than from every Dem talking head since the "flip-flop" campaign began. Nice quote.

3. You may want to edit your headline
and put in the attribution to Cheney, so people don't think this a generic anti-war rant that slipped from GD to GD2k.
