Rasmussen: K50-B46 in Iowa
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Iowa_Fall%202004.htm

October 12, 2004, 2004--The latest Rasmussen Reports polling data shows the John Kerry leading President Bush in Iowa by a 50% to 46%.

That represents a big change from mid-September when Bush held a 3-point lead in the state, 48% to 45%. In fact, weekly updates provided to Premium Members shows that the state was trending in the Republican direction up until the first Presidential debate.

6. I agree
Iowa has a VERY well organized state party and one hell of a staff. Just looking at our local HQ it is awesome how many volunteers are ALWAYS there and how professional, polite and dedicated the staff is!

Iowa is too good for Bush (the other 49 are too, but I'm biased!)

2. I've said it before
I think Kerry has this in a lock. We will pull in way more absentee votes, we have a popular Dem governor, and there is almost no Nader factor. How could it have been so close?

5. Is this poll trustworthy?
I'm not too familiar with Rasmussen - have they been accurate in the past, and are they known to be a right-leaning group, like Gallup?

7. Great news
This, coupled with Zogby's 6.6% lead in Iowa will hopefully mean no more trips here by the B/C clan.

I am going - with over 20 people from my office - the see Sen. Kerry, Theresa, Sen. Edwards, and Elizabeth at 6pm on Thursday at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. Then, our office is going out for pizza. Yeah! It is great to know we are doing so well here.
