CNN Whore of the Day: Wolf Blitzer
Hopefully someone can confirm this when the transcript is posted, but I'd swear that Wolf Blitzer made the following comment (more or less) when speaking with Bob Scheiffer of CBS regarding tomorrow's debate:

<What if something happens like with the previous debate, where Senator Kerry says something nasty about the President and he just has to respond. You're not going to stop him are you? After all, he's the President.>

First of all, Kerry was a saint compared to Bush, who repeatedly lied about Kerry's record. Second, what difference does it made whether Bush is the President? Both candidates agreed to the same rules, and those rules have to be applied impartially. Hasn't Bush gotten enough "special treatment" from the press?

6. CNN Whore of the week award goes to Blitzer
That's what he said when he was referring to what Kerry said to initiate *'s temper tantrum As if to justify it. I switched ot another channel after that, so Woof probably went on and repeated it.

7. Here's what he really said....really
<What if something happens like with the previous debate, where Senator Kerry says something "really, really" nasty about the President and he just has to respond. You're not going to stop him are you? After all, he's the President.>

I couldn't believe he had to really, really say it that way. So wtf did Kerry say? Anyone? What "really, really" drove georgie off the edge and caused his temper tantrum?

I don't know how to highlight, bold or underline :(

15. The insane thing was Aaron Brown's report on Sinclair
last night which started out with everybody agreeing that the media is well known as "liberally biased" and "isn't this a hoot" that conservative bias by Sinclair causes such a fuss.

I'd normally write a letter of protest but this just makes me too tired.

17. He was more impartial than Wolf
But then, anyone who reads Bob Somerby's Daily Howler already knows where Shieffer's loyalties lie. (Hint: he's from Texas)

24. Transcript is Up
Here's the exchange:

BLITZER: Well, what happens, though, what do you do if -- if what happened the other night in Saint Louis happens, that John Kerry says something really, really nasty at the president and it's time for you to move on to another subject, but the president is obviously anxious to respond and he just starts talking? How do you -- he's the president of the United States.

(LAUGHTER)

SCHIEFFER: Well, I don't suppose I could tell him to go take a time out, could I? That might be -- I don't suppose you could ask either one of them to do that. But I would try to accommodate that, but I think what I would do, Wolf -- and we won't know until it happens, if it does -- I would always make sure that if I let one of them do something and run over, I would try to make sure that the other got the same opportunity.
