Things you'd like to hear Kerry say tomorrow night
(1) Secrecy: Bush and Co. don't trust the American people enough to tell them the truth. They lie about everything and what they dont' lie about they hide. Why are they so secret about their energy papers? Why did they hide the cost of the Medicare bill? Why did they hide the cost of the Iraq war? Why did they hide the info. the CIA gave them about dire straits in Iraq? Because they don't want you to know the truth. Their power is founded solely on lies and secrecy. We can do better.

(2) If his Iraq vote comes up, he should quote this man: "sometimes you have to vote to use force in order to keep the peace" --- who was the flip flopping peacnik who said this? none other than Bush himself. Of course, he was lying at the time he said it so you can't really fault him as a flip flopper -- just a liar.

1. His closing line should be:
"You ARE the weakest link! GOODBYE!"

3. first be gracious, then lower the boom
I posted something similar on another thread as a suggested closing statement:

First of all, I want to thank the president for his leadership immediately following 9/11. Our nation will always owe him a debt of gratitude for that. That was a black and white issue and he deserves credit for his response. But such events are the exception in this complex world, and unfortunately, this president is incapable of meeting the challenges required. With Iraq, with our relationship with other countries in the world, with the budget deficit, with the environment, this president has gotten us into a huge hole. Can he get us out? Unfortunately, no. How can he correct a mistake when he can't even acknowledge he has made one? Instead, all he can do is say that I will make things worse. The only thing he has is fear itself. Twenty-four years ago, Ronald Reagan asked a simple question: Are you better off than you were four years ago? I want to ask a variation of that question. Some of us, particularly the wealthy, are probably better off than we were four years ago. Most of us are not. The question I want to ask is: Is our country better off than four years ago? In virtually every way, I believe we are not, which is why I'm asking for your vote to change the direction of the greatest country ever known to mankind.

4. "Hey George! I'm gonna walk over to your podium and thrash you!
I'm going to count to 3 and you better run! 1,2,3! Here I come!"

Heh. I can dream, can't I?

5. When * asks how Kerry plans to pay for his healthcare plan,
He should mention that when new jobs are created the government gets lots of tax revenue. But since he hasn't created any new jobs he wouldn't know about that, also roll back the tax cut for the top 2%. Hell, he could even roll back my tax cut, because I'm worse off now than before the tax cut.

8. Tell us how much national debt we piled on, per family figures
during W's term in office. Isn't it something like $86,000 per family in the US? When the L word shows its ugly head... JFK can say... Are you SURE you are a Conservative... You must be talking about yourself again!!! :-)

Also what is the * failed policy in Iraq costing us on a 'per family' basis. That is powerful information.
