neighborhood every day. The chimp is losing ground every day. The guy is circling the bowl. I think if they had something, anything at all they would let it go now. I saw a picture of Rove and Hughes taken from the back of the limo, they didn't look like happy campers. Remember the day when they could unleash the hounds and turn tides? I really believe those days are gone. What they have left is smearing and vote suppression. My only fear is that they may try and cancel the elections or do something that makes it impossible to have the elections. I will leave the what ifs to your imagination. I think they know they have lost.

In my heart, I was sure Saddam had nothing -- but I didn't quite want to believe it for fear of being left with egg on my face in case I was wrong.

Now, I'm equally sure the Bushies have no WMD's -- just the empty threat of them as a hold over the population, same as Saddam. And I'm equally scared of actually believing it.

I'm sure they have a lot more petty tricks, like all the voter registration nonsense and the meaningless hoo-hah about Kerry's honorable discharge. But they have nothing big to pull out of their pockets, and they wouldn't dare pull another 9/11.
