Maybe it's botox, yeah. Or some other med that is bringing out the left-brain/right-brain disagreement. His right side (verbal left brain) is putting on a fake smile, while his left side (non-verbal emotional right brain) is indicating his deeply troubled emotional state. If you took the left side of his face and mirrored it to the right, you would see a terrible grimace.

Just an observation from some reading I've done in neurology and brain damage. The asymmetrical muscles of the face are fascinating.

On edit, by contrast, Kerry's face is serious but quite symmetrical.

Many here at DU seem to be noticing it. I did almost immediately.

Facial asymmetry is a very potent, subconscious influence on the viewer--this could have some serious impact even if no one makes an issue of it.
