"Kerry is creaming Bush in the debate."

My apolitical wife, who has never voted in a American election just announced that to me. She just registered to vote (so she can be a poll worker/translater), and she's voting Democratic. She's watched all 3 debates, and is convinced that Bush is a fool who doesn't have what's best for the United States in mind... much less what's best for the military (she was a military wife for 12 years, after all), has no clue what's best for the economy, and knows nothing about what's best for foriegn policy.

My wife is from Venezuala, and she doesn't like Chavez... But thinks that the U.S. and it's minions should keep out of it and allow her homeland to solve its own problems without the CIA's help.

So, one more vote for Bush. Add in my old friends, Fire (a good Catholic who will vote his conscience not his bishop), Guns (a independent who voted Bush in 2000 and regreted it ever since), Guns' wife (who thought Bush was pro military), and now even SPARKS who's convinced that Democrats are clueless is saying Bush must go...

I have to admit it, Bush is in very good form tonight--but Kerry is also doing very well. It isn't over yet. I am frustrated as well, I have talked to some very unlikely people who have become Bush supporters over the last few days. All we can do is keep on fighting and keep up the faith.

I am nervous too--this is such a stressful situation--but it makes things worse when we turn on each other--I think that is the RWer's dream.

I am glad that HH fixed his post--but I knew all along (from his other posts) that he is a good poster and deserves the benefit of the doubt even though that post seemed odd. Of course, then he fixed the post--so I was right.
