Why the debates won the election for Kerry
This was Kerry's only chance during this campaign at a conversation with America without interruption, spin, pre-empt, sound bite, or context butchering. Everything unsavory has been conspiring to fashion him as the devil incarnate. This time around, the debates were quintessential and have been a dream come true - a Kerry Presidency.

3. When he wins, pundits will say the Debates did it
and they definetly helped destroy all the millions rnc thungs have poured into attacks, the smearboat rats, and the the RNC hatefest.

Just like his summer convention destroyed the rnc's blitz to "define" him. Kerry has always fought back and let American's see the real him.

4. Yep
We saw three different George Bushes and one John Kerry, as someone recently pointed out on Ron Reagan's show. And I think that is what will eventually dissolve Bush's web of Rovian lies.

5. That's what the pundits don't understand
They've seen the unvarnished Bush for four years, the public has only seen the sound-bite version. It's not hard to find a 10-second clip of Bush sounding coherent, so people forgot how dense he is. The first debate set that out in the open, and the other two confirmed that it wasn't a fluke. Kerry really is the heavyweight in this race.

6. Exactly. Kerry has used these debates to get FACTS out .
I'm just astounded at how much INFORMATION he was able to get to people, so many facts, in such a short time allotted. The fact that Bush let Bin Laden get away at Tora Bora, for instance. I bet most people never heard that. Demonstrable fact, but not common knowledge. But Kerry made it known. He's awesome.
