http://www.democrats.org/idontknow/index.htmlEdit: but there's a lot more to it than that. Check out this list of suspected al Qaeda attacks:
http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0884893.htmlSince the President stopped giving a shit in March of 2002, al Qaeda is suspected of having participated in sixteen attacks, killing over 600 people and injuring many more. They attacked six times in 2002--after Afghanistan was invaded. They attacked six times in 2003--after Iraq was invaded. They attacked four times this year, and the list shows that October and November are their busiest months.
Since the President stopped giving a shit about Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda is suspecting of committing twice as many terrorist acts as they had in their entire existence up to March, 2002.
What was the President doing to combat al Qaeda? Well, among other things, he
http://salon.com/opinion/feature/2004/04/22/700million/index_np.html">diverted $700 million from the hunt for Osama--possibly in violation of the Constitution--to preparations for an invasion of Iraq. That invasion that had yet to be authorized; it was a plan which the President "didn't have on his desk" at the time.
John Kerry isn't fooling around with this. The figures show that al Qaeda has become stronger, not weaker, since September 11, 2001. The facts show that despite reguarly alarming the American public about it, he didn't do much about combating al Qaeda.
So the next time someone tries to laugh off that gaffe in front of you, you tell them that not only is Osama still loose, but al Qaeda is just as busy as it has been--since George Bush came to Washington.
