I'm sure everyone read Plaidder's "fantasy" debate on DU's front page yesterday. In it, she used a "shocker" when Bush told a lie. Little did we know, it was NO fantasy!

Photographs showing a bulge in the back of the president's suit coat the night of the first debate gave rise to rumors on the Internet that Bush was wearing an earpiece--which the White House and campaign have categorically denied.
Ken Mehlman, the president's campaign manager, had fun with that rumor when asked if Bush's advisers had coached the president in avoiding a scowl during the final debate.
"That was what that famous box on the back was--it was a shocker," Mehlman joked. "That was how we got rid of the scowl. The box was one of those shock collars. Every time he scowled, he was shocked, so tonight he was great."
