Kansas may be a red state, but there are some Democrats here, and we actually have two House races of interest.
The Third District encompasses the western suburbs of Kansas City, including GOP-rich Johnson County, plus Democratic-leaning Douglas County which includes the city of Lawrence and the University of Kansas. The district is currently held by Congressman Dennis Moore, a moderate/conservative Democrat in office since 1998, though his victories are always narrow. Moore is locked into a tight race with wingnut challenger Kris Kobach. While Moore is more conservative than most DUers, he is a good person, an excellent congressman in terms of constituent services, and most assuredly NOT a wingnut. HE NEEDS YOUR HELP. Please check out

The Second Congressional district includes Topeka and much of Northeast Kansas. The seat is currently held by GOPer Jim Ryun, a hard-core conservative. However, the Dems have held this seat in the past, and the challenger this year is Nancy Boyda, an impressive candidate who is running hard and is within striking distance. Ryun is smearing Boyda as unpatriotic, and the airwaves are filled with charges and countercharges. Ryun is weak in constituent services, and this is a possible sneak pickup for the Dems if Boyda gets help NOW.

Even $10 will help Dennis and Nancy at this point. PLEASE HELP US KANSAS DEMS!!!!
