This lesbian "scandal" shows why you should cut your cable TV

There are a number of DUers who have noticed that all of the cable TV pundits are going crazy over this issue. This has led them to believe that this is A Big Deal.

It's not. Hardly anyone watches cable TV. Most people get their news from the late-night talk shows like Leno, and Letterman.

Get rid of your cable. It's leading you into biased perceptions about what's going on around you. If you think that everyone is talking about this, talk a walk to the corner store, and bring it up. If you get more than a shrug, I'd be surprised (or you found a freeper)

4. You are right. I have been the most "crazed" about this media frenzy

and put up several posts about it. I have been housebound lately and watched the damn cable "news" today because I thought Kerry did so well last night and wanted to bask in it. I'll stay right here now and read my book (currently reading The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood for the 3rd time)

IMO, one our greatest gifts is the ability to step out of our immediate emotional setting and see how our emotions are affecting out thoughts. It's also one of the hardest to pull off.

call the cable company and cancel it. Make sure you tell them you won't pay for propoganda when TV is FREE!!!
