Poll question: The Washington Post Poll Comes Out At Five
It currently has the race tied at 48%-48%

There are four tracking polls out that I am currently aware of

TIPP

Zogby

Rasmussen

Washington-Post-ABC

Except for the Washington Post poll they are all showing a small( 2-4%) lead for Bush....

I am following the Washington Post poll because unlike the others you can see the breakdown by party, race, gender education, age, etcetera..

I am hoping it shows us tied or ahead... If we can go into the election close I believe we will win..

What do you think the poll will show

3. I Want Kerry To Win But I Risk Looking Foolish
if I call all the polls liars...

I am already out on a limb trashing Zogby.....

Most of the final polls in 00 were within the margin of error but they did pick the wrong winner...

There's still eighteen days and challengers usually get stronger towards the end...

In fact in almost every race the person behind gets stronger in the waning days of the campaign

This should encourage us...

5. Hey, thats okay
We all should take a risk now and then. I got slammed big time yesterday for daring to suggest more time be spent on real news as opposed to the lump in the jacket. I am encourged by your post!

10. Is there something you find offensive about my opinion?

Why did you list an 'Other' choice in your poll if you didn't want to hear other viewpoints?

I agree with IG below.

11. It's A Free Speech Board...
Let me give you an analogy ...

you post a picture of your girlfriend...

you ask who does she look like....

-Selma Hayek

-Kirsten Dunst

-Brittany Murphy

-other/please explain.....

the person responds

other/she looks like a pig

get my drift

Peace

Brian

16. I wouldn't have bothered answering the poll in your analogy
And I didn't say anything insulting about anybody's girlfriend - or indeed about anybody or anything -- so it makes no sense to pretend my response was anything like that. I simply expressed my opinion that with less than three weeks to go before the election, fluctuations within the margin of error in a national poll don't interest me. Perhaps I should have explained the reasons in more detail or perhaps I should have self-censored to spare you the discomfort of having to read my disturbing and unpleasant viewpoint. Or perhaps, as I have already suggested, if you didn't want to hear other viewpoints, you shouldn't have included an 'other' option, in which case I wouldn't have posted my opinion.

4. No matter how far behind bush is the media will call it a tie.
They have done that and will continue to whore for them.

7. I really don't know
I predict a small Kerry lead, but anything is possible with these polls. I don't think the polls are doing a good job this election. It looks like Bush did get a small second debate bounce that should be wearing off.

12. No, I don't think he got a third debate bounce
Looking at when Bush had his great polling days, it looks like the effects from the second debate. I thought Bush looked ridiculous in the second debate, but some may have liked the over-aggressiveness.

13. There Were Three Bushes....
How come Al Gore got busted for allegedly having different personnaes in each debate but Bush gets a pass...

By the way the first debate was the real Bush... A natural idiot....

8. We should worry more about getting people to the polls, than about polls
Turnout is going to determine the winner of this race. The polls are undercounting Latinos (*) and people that exclusively use cell phones.

If you really want to worry, we should concern ourselves with how the votes are going to be counted. I don't trust those computerized machines!

19. Guys...it's already out...
Bush ahead 50%-47% among LV...and 48%-47% among RV.

BTW, Time's poll has Bush up by 2% among LV, and the race tied among RV.

On that subject, everyone should read the "Fasten Your Seat Belts" article at http://www.emergingdemocraticmajorityweblog.com/donkeyrising/.
