When did someone's sexuality become news? Unfortunately, CNN has kept this story alive longer than need be. There were many more things important to this election discussed at the debates than whether or not Lynn "I wrote a lesbian porn novel" Cheney was offended by a non-offensive statement.

How about discussing the flu vaccine shortage, the President denying he said he wasn't concerned about Osama Bin Laden and why he answered questions about the economy and job loss with the "No Child Left Behind" Act? Those three things are news, in case you've forgotten what news is, how about leaving Mary Cheney to Entertainment Tonight or Access Hollywood.

We have to stay focused on the media and their propensity to focus in on unimportant issues. I was just thinking about those exact same things and was trying to work out how to put it to paper. I'm working on a similar LTTE and emails to media groups. Way to go! And keep up the good work!
