Where did Mickey Kaus come from?
And why does Slate think we should care what he says every day? He is supposedly "liberal", but his main theme seems to be how stupid Kerry and his team are and how smart he is. His snarky, "I'm so smart", irony-at-any-cost act is so tired, and now I even see his mug on the tube opining with the same vapid takes. Where did he come from?

I lost all patience with him when he blogged that Kerry was "loathsome." I emailed him, "If Kerry's loathsome, you're the Apocalypse. Yer blog ain't nuthin' but shit and neither are you."

I don't know his past - but how he got where he is today is a mystery to me. I guess he's symptom of our time. He's a bloodless, passionless media-whore. In the end he will be unimportant. He won't be remembered. He stands for nothing.

I guess the operative words are: soulless, spineless, and weak.
