1. i think these polls are absurd
their frequency renders them virtually meaningless. voters are suffering from poll fatigue. I like my own poll.. bumper stickers and yard signs... or the lack of Bush signs.

5. I really wish they had as many OH, FL, PA, WI, NV, WV polls as they do
national polls each.

15. their frequency adds to their effectiveness...
that's what DU's Truth Is All does..

He averages all the polls, runs, simulations, and provides odds...

The more polls ,the more robust your sample, and the greater possibility the results are correct...

4. Why are you spamming this site with this same trite observation?
Some people like poll threads. Others don't.

If you don't like it don't read it, but stop telling people what to post or what to think

9. hi you are right
and welcome! I just think the polls are kind of disheartening, and I would be interested in knowing how they pick the respondents and how accurate they are.

14. Ignoring The Polls Is The Height Of Stupidity...
Especially given the fact that they have been within the margin of error in every election since Truman...

11. I think I see a trend here..

...look at the numbers a week ago (Oct 11). And then look at the numbers the week before that (Oct 4). They all have Bush at his peak, and Kerry at his low.

Why? Probably because the polling is done on the weekends. Another good thing to note is that Bush's number is lower than the previous two weeks AND Kerry's number is higher.
