Swift Vet Liars mass-mailing in Missouri

I received the most disgusting thing ever put in my mailbox today: an 8&1/2 inch tall, 11 inch wide, glossy, 12-page smear on John Kerry by the "Swift Vets" and "POW's for Truth" (apostrophe? idiots.)

I don't know why I got this mailing. I get very few mass mailings. I guess I can take some comfort to see this as a sign that Missouri must be going for Kerry.

Still, it makes me sick. These people make me sick.

Though I've been getting a lot of other mass mailings from Republicans running for state office. They seem to be using the same strategy as Bush, basically attacking their opponents as liberal, Liberal, LIBERAL!!!

6. I wonder if Karl is a little behind the times with this tactic. I am

quite the political animal but I cannot recall ever being swayed by something I received in the mail. For the most part I glance at that stuff and throw it away. I am too busy to read through every piece of junk that comes to my home. I would imagine that most people get tons of mail like I do advertising this or offering coupons or credit cards or whatever. I lump all that stuff in the same category. I think that mailing had more impact a few years ago. Perhaps I am projecting because mailings do not interest me.
