Survey of 401 likely voters:

snip-
President and Vice President
86% - John Kerry and John Edwards (D)
5% - George W. Bush and Dick Cheney (R)
1% - Ralph Nader and Peter Camejo (I)

-snip

We've still got some work to do on Proposal 2 (DOMA) though:

snip-
Proposal 2
Proposal 2 would amend the State Constitution to specify what can be recognized as a, "marriage or similar union," for any purpose. Specifically, the proposal would provide that, "the union of one man and one woman in marriage shall be the only agreement recognized as a marriage or similar union for any purpose."

50% - Yes in favor of Proposal 2
40% - No in opposition to Proposal 2
10% - Undecided
-snip

2. There were precincts in Detroit that were unanimous in 2000
Gore 100% Bush 0%

As for Prop 2, those are actually very encouraging poll numbers. Propositions on the Michigan ballot virtually never receive support as high as their polling numbers.

3. They are worse than they were a month ago. So not very encouraging.

As a Catholic, who was sickened by the sermon we received on voting no on prop 2, I think we've got a fight on our hands. The Macomb County Commission meetings we're sickening with regards to this issue. Remember, this isn't my first time on this merry go round. I've worked on quite a few proposals, and these numbers could be better. We can never, ever rest on optimism.

On edit: We must also babysit the polls in Detroit, so we don't have another disaster like the caucuses were.

5. Gotta Love Our Cities
The day after the election I love looking at the Chicago wards to see their vote breakouts. You'll see Kerry with 12,000 votes and Bunnypants with 200.

In 2000, Bunnypants lost Dallas and almost every other major city in the country...and that was before people knew how bad this asshole is. It'll be fun to monitor places like the boroughs of New York, Washington D.C., Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis, San Francisco & LA County. If Bunnypants does more than 20%, I'll be amazed.

Last night ABC News Now (a GREAT Alternative to other networks) did a segment on why Colorado is in play and the large number of young, educated Democrats that have moved into the state in the past decade. At least someone's noticing!

6. We can only hope they bring up "suppressing the urban vote" again
and again. Would it not be great to see 99.9% for Kerry in cities across the nation? :hi: They are fun to watch. These are the people most directly affected by the economy and social issues in general.

7. Whose Gonna Supress It?
I know in Chicago that's not gonna be a problem

The blacks and hispanics are energized not just city, but metro wide here and there are gonna be some interesting surprises in the totals in those supposedly safe Repugnican districts...or so they thought.

Plus I sense this Flu Shot fiasco is a far bigger issue that is being snowed over by the Repugnican disinformation campaigns. It's all seniors are talking about today and it puts a big flood light on healthcare issues that will backfire as big on this regime as the draft is energizing the younger voters.

I'm feeling very good about things this morning. Maybe it's because I haven't turned on CNNservative...LOL!

Cheers!
