10. I agree
I'd rather someone vote - no matter who they vote for, than not vote at all.

7. That is especially good news since (correct me if I'm wrong) that
unlike OR you don't have a right-wing magnet measure on the ballot (i.e. gay marriage ban). Which means that turnout represents Dems, I'd say turning out in droves. I think the pollsters are going to be very very surprised about 9 PM EST Nov. 2nd.

Anectodal evidence (I know, I know...) but we ran into some neighbors on our walk and they are rather apolitical but they brought up the election. I asked them who they were voting for. There was a nanosecond pause and then they said Kerry (she's registered a Republican). We went on to have a Bush bashing for 30 minutes. It was hard to believe how vehemently against Bush they were for normally quiet polite folks! :wow:

The passion is running deep this year!!!

8. Excellent. High voter turnout is always good for Dems
That's why the pukes try so hard to suppress voting.

11. Not surprising --
Four years ago B/C bumper stickers & signs outnumbered Gore signs in rural areas.

This year -- B/C bumper stickers are sparse.

Lots and lots of Kerry/Edwards signs as well as the alternative political signs -- moveon.org bumper stickers.

There was a large pick-up -- duel rear wheels -- US Marine signs - Semper Fi etc etc. PLUS Vets for Kerry and the moveon.org bumper stickers!

This is major -- for the oh so popular full sized pick-ups to sport Kerry Edwards signs AS WELL as the retired military stickers.

My feeling is that if people make the effort to apply bumper sticker they will make the effort to vote.

12. Mail Balloting, the Sound of an Avalanche
This is Tuesday and I got my ballot last Friday and the mate received hers on Saturday. Have had a neighbor and two co-workers already share how their ballots have already been completed. The one bragged about how hard and firmly he marked the Kerry ticket. Oh, the joy of ballot by mail!

The avalanche has commenced. Landslide, avalanche, whatever.
