2. Vietnam war wasn't supported by basing it on a terra attack
that had nothing to do with it.

"We've been attacked by Russia!"

"Let's invade Vietnam!!"

That didn't happen with Vietnam war.

7. It was until the "the pentagon papers" were leaked
until then the "justification" was the Gulf of Tonkin. However, the more general pretext was just as bogus as the "war on terra", the "Domino Theory" or the spread of international communism.

more seriously though, the Vietnamese were mostly Buddhist.
Buddhism is the most forgiving of all the major religions. Iraq is overwhelmingly Muslim. Muslimism, when taken to an extreme, can be on of the most vengeful.

Attacking Iraq with such gross incompetance and insensitivity, may haunt us for a very long time.
