TV ads in DC area for Bush

I noticed several Bush or pro-Bush 527 ads the last couple of days in D.C., a TV market that includes Md. and Va. Both Md. and D.C. are solid blue, so they've got to be targeting Va. I'm wondering whether Bush internals are showing decay in the Old Dominion. Have there been Bush TV ads in Richmond, Norfolk, Roanoke?

2. VA is weak Bush.
Someone reported here that they started putting out large Bush signs in VA. That's a sign of trouble according to that person.

3. what stations?
I haven't seen a * or a Kerry ad in MONTHS. I bet I haven't seen 10 ads for any candidate so far this year.

5. saw one on CNBC this morning ...

one on WUSA two days ago, one on CNN over the weekend.

I'm assuming these were bought for local, not national, distribution, but I'm not sure how that works. Let's just say that, like you, I hadn't seen anything for weeks.

4. The latest Survey USA poll shows VA going slightly (4%) for Bush
BUT Northern VA (which is the TV market that you're talking about) FAVORS KERRY BY A WHOPPING 14%!!!! This is HUGE because NoVA is the most populous part of the state.

Say it with me people - GOTV GOTV GOTV GOTV!!!

6. If You Live Anywhere in the DC Area
Please call the Kerry HW in Northern Virgnia for campaign activities or election-day volunteering. I'm in Maryland, but canvassed in Springfield last week and will spend election day in Northern Virginia. Two organizations I'm aware of:

=======================

Virginia Victory '04
3147 Wilson Boulevard
Arlington, VA
703-248-9330

Northern Virginia Regional Office

Fairfax, Virginia 22031-4400

=======================

Virginia is within striking distance.

7. They are probably targeting outer suburbs in Virginia
such as Prince William, Loudon and Fairfax Counties. They would be crazy to target Alexandria, Arlington or Falls Church which are heavily Democratic.

I've been volunteering in Prince William County. The demographic east of I-95 seems to be more Democratic. Some precincts in Dale City and Woodbridge traditionally go Democratic, although this is not well known. There is a diverse population in Prince William and many people move in from the inner Democratic suburbs.

Check out these threads for more about Prince William:
