I'm depressed- SINclair stock on the rebound (today +1.13%)
and it was up almost 12% yesterday!

What the hell is going on? Did investors fall for the phony 'Sinclair isn't showing anti-Kerry film' CRAP and jump back in? Did slimy Republicans go on a buying spree? Can anyone here who knows how the market works throw in their 2 cents? Will this shitty stock take a dive or not? And if their broadcast turns out to be as malicious and one-sided as I (we) think it is, what then?

I really, really, really, really want to see these assholes go DOWN.

1. Patience, grasshopper.
Slimy Republicans and bottom-feeders (but I repeat myself) on a buying spree.

Sinclair's management is losing favor quickly. I think they'll seriously tank before long.

4. Yes, sinclair backing down yes
The stock rebounded because Sinclair is listening and the worst is over, probably.

I have throughly enjoyed watching them squirm. It is funny how you go after the stock price and what happens. It is a dangerous precedent and will surely be a chilling effect.

I didn't agree with Sinclair and it is a blatant political move, but the partisan public (on both sides) has shown an ability to alter programming and free speech and hurt people it disagrees with in the pocket book.

I am not sorry for Sinclair, but the Regan movie, 60 minutes dropping stories, Dixie Chicks, Politically Incorrect are examples of it going the other way. I find that a sad commentary on the state of free speech in the country.

Now, Sinclair should have its licensed revoked, but the right-wing and its use of boycotts and fake outrage is something we here have studied up on and learned well.

That is encouraging, but this form of social action should be reserved for extreme cases, but we know both sides will use it as another political tool. I blame the right-wing because this is something they have been doing since Clinton. We have to adjust to it, but free speech is really being threanted here. What we are getting is a homgenized, non-offensive, and less aggresive press.

2. Hudsucker Proxy
That's all. Part of the plan. The Smith's will make millions by buying back their depressed stock.
