I couldn't get to the TV fast enough... but I heard the announcer say "Conservative columnist gets several pies in the face during speech..." My mom said she was tall, blonde and good-looking (she doesn't know what a bitch Coulter is.)
If not Coulter, then who?

Sorry -- you're not going to get any indignation out of me about Ann being targetted with a pie. This has been the traditional non-violent social levelling device for decades.

(BTW -- I was friends with one of the Filippino guys who pied Nixon in the Phillippines back in the 50s. He said he had gotten his inspiration from the 3 Stooges. Nixon took it in stride.)

Repug offered the U of A immediate cash donations to cancel Michael Moore's show...they refused. After a HUGE stink and much kicking and screaming by repugs, U of A conceded that "a pro-Bush speaker, of equal stature to Michael Moore, would be booked".

They booked...Ann Coulter.

Michael Moore's show in Tucson was the 23rd city of his tour, but it was the largest audience he had had to date - 14,500 people at a sold out show at the sports arena.

Ann Coulter was booked in a much smaller forum, one used for theater and smallish artsy concerts. It was booked at 90% - it's full capacity is 2,500 so I guess there were about 2,200 people there.
