Mom is fully on board

Despite my impassioned pleas to the contrary, my mother voted for chimpy in 2000. Four years later- she has been transformed into a Kerry voter, and an impassioned chimpy hater herself. I stopped by last Friday to visit. First she told me about arguing with my aunt Barbara the day before. Barbara, while a genuinely kind human being, is a regular contributor to Oral Roberts, and one of those scary * supporters whose world view is based on Bible prophecy. Mom said she made a scene at a local restaurant when she yelled at her in frustration over *'s dismal record. THEN, she made me watch a 60 Minutes episode she had saved about an environmental disaster in West Virginia/Kentucky that *'s administration had covered up. Don't get me wrong- I loved the old girl before she saw the light- but I am especially delighted to see her new found political awareness.
So there you have it- George Bush IS good for bringing families closer together.
