Question about poll observing ...
I will be an observer on e-day and I was told not to wear any democrat or pro Kerry buttons, clothing, etc.

Do you think I can wear my 8643 t-shirt. It is white with just the number 8643 imprinted on it. See link for a picture:

1. I'm a poll watcher, too. I'm dumb, I don't know what 8643 means, but if
it is political, you can't wear it.

2. I wouldn't.
Stay true to the spirit of what they asked of you. Show the Republicans that we care about impartial elections.

6. you are right - it is just going to be hard for me not to have
my "Proud to be a Democrat" or Kerry/Edwards button on that day. I have been wearing them for so many months now, they are like jewelry to me. When I put on my watch, earrings, etc, I put on my buttons.

9. But after November 2nd...
you won't have to put them on again until four years from now! :)

4. Please don't
this is not the year to try to sneak around election rules.

actually, no year is.

For those who don't know, "86" is old-style lingo for "throw the bum out", e.g., Hey Vinnie, go 86 that drunk down at the end of the bar".

8. I will preform my duty with pride and forgo wearing anything
questionable. Watching as John Kerry becomes this country's first elected President since President Bill Clinton, will far outweigh not being able to wear my democrat buttons.

Thanks to everyone for your input.

:hi:

10. You shouldn't.
But if you do, bring an extra shirt.
