Why bother keeping tons of expl. around? we can always make more if we need it.

And why didn't the coalition forces make it general knowledge that 350 tons of high explosives might not be where they found it? Apparently, to keep the intelligence secret from the terrorists. But then, the way things keep blowing up in Iraq, it seems that they already know they've got a virtually limitless supply of high explosives at their disposal.

So who else might they be shielding this information from? Think, think.
