1. Wow. I'm still waiting for the "Bush 'n' Dre" album.
And I suspect I'll be waiting a long, long time.

3. Hell Has Officially...
Froze Over! Never thought I'd live long enough to hear a country song written with a left of center message.

5. Never listened to Johnny Cash?
Johnny had a lot of songs that had a left of center message, but one that stands out is "Man in Black", it SLAMS Vietnam.

10. Another great one from Johnny!
:) Also, Mr. Cash did a whole album on the plight of American Indians. They just don't make 'em like him any more....

12. Cash was subtle compared to Toby Keith
and I say that as a Johnny Cash fan.

8. Steve Earle, Willie Nelson, probably more I'm not thinking of...

After all, didn't it come from bluegrass and a lot of that was songs for the common man, pro-union etc. etc.

11. Johnny Cash
I mentioned him earlier, but he's my hero so I gotta mention him again :) His songs had some very liberal messages.

6. That sound you hear...
...is the sound of 2 careers swirling down the toilet. The Nashville music establishment doesn't look kindly upon political or religious dissenters - just ask the Dixie Chicks.

It sucks, but that's reality.

7. Jimmy Carter/ Willie Nelson are going to be on CMT in Dec.
Not sure of the date, but I went over to Plains last month to see the free concert, filmed for CMT.
