Maine Now Firmly in Kerry Camp--Portland Press Herald
Perhaps it will cheer you up in the 'trend' department. Maine went from double digit Kerry to a statistical tie. This weekend the Portland Press Herald said that new polling now says Maine is firmly in the Kerry column with an 11 point lead for Kerry (and we are even going to vote down the damn Tax Cap proposition). That has to spill over the border to our friends in New Hampshire---we are getting the same ads, etc. Don't know why but this weekend I just had this calm come over me. I know we are going to win. It has nothing to do with the Maine poll and it's not a calm of accepting defeat. It's just there. We aren't going to see any big movement in polls over the remaining days but the people are waking up in these last days. I think our Gore states will quietly fall in place and I think we will grab Ohio to seal the deal. Now seeing Clinton on ALL the network news tonight, I feel the "energy" is shifting while Bush is getting old and tired with his terrorism talk.

1. The people in Maine are pretty smart.
I understand that the Bushies expect to be treated like royalty when they visit their Kennebunkport vacation home. Ugh!

As an aside, I think Stephen King is a Democrat. Anybody know for sure?

3. Yes, I believe he was stumping with Edwards when he came here....
There was something awhile back with some kind of involvement. Edwards was at U of Maine and King is like a god there because he has given so much money. Anyway, I believe that that was the appearance.

4. I hope that every Gore State goes to Kerry with a good margin....
so that it cannot be stolen.
