Man, it's hard to keep my chin up
I do believe that Kerry will win this election hands down, but listening to the rhetoric by the bush supporters is starting to really wear thin on me.
In a small kind of way, I hope bush does win this and tanks this Country further down the hole than he has done in the last 4 years. It blows my mind that people are so pig-headed and ignorant that they are still supporting this idiot. It's like watching someone you don't like getting drunk and falling down. For some reason you want them to get back up and fall again a few times just because it is fun to watch. I have almost this "I told you so" thing going on inside me because part of me thinks that these people deserve to have their lives shit on. Of course when their lives do become more shitty than it is now, they will blame Clinton and then Kerry. It will be that Clinton screwed up the Country and bush didn't have time to fix it before Kerry got in to office.
I am not looking forward to the non stop shit that will be coming from these people when John Kerry takes office. If it wasn't for me wanting my Country back and the war to be dealt with correctly, the crooks in office tried and imprisoned and this administration to pay for their crimes, I would just as well let the ship sink.

Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 07:28 PM by Wubette
If he were to win-I believe things would turn even more for the worse very quickly. My fear is we won't be able to come back after 4 years. Yes there is a weird kind of satisfaction with seeing these criminals sink in their own shit so to speak. The problem is they will drag the rest of us with them.

7. The fact they they stole the whole friggin thing in the first place..
...pisses me off enough. We have a huge uphill battle as it is, but yes...4 more years of this crap would really dig us in a hole. If we thought the repubs were bad during the Clinton years, I have a feeling we haven;t seen anything.
I have seen people on DU ask if this place will die down after a Kerry win...hell no, we have a long way to go.

10. You got that right
The thing is, even though I love my family and all, I don't have as much to lose as a lot of people in this Country. I see people who have spouses and children, and they seem to not give a shit about the future. They still want bush in and I can't figure it out. Their self importance just confuses me. It seems like they really don't care what happens to their children's future or their own future for that matter, as long as they win the "game" now.

Maybe some cowboy boots, hell...if they are good for one fake cowboy, I guess I can wear some for his pink slip party.

These polls are crap. Ignore them. We should quit fawning or moaning over every new number -- there's so much inaccuracy in these polls. As usual on November 3rd we can take a look at these polls and laugh. They were wrong in 2000. They are not believing that the turnout is going to be groundbreaking. It will be.

13. NO No No No NO NO.
Johnnie, you know what? Not even in a small way do you want * to win. NO way. Four years ago when it was clear that * was going to STEAL the election it was clear that he was going to be the incompetent lying, jackass BOOB that he turned out to be, and that this country would NEVER vote Republican AGAIN.

Unfortunately, I was wrong. Way wrong. The forces of SUPREME EVIL, SINISTRY, and IGNORANCE have washed the brains of our pathetic sheeple. Four more years of this, and you may not EVER get your country back, dude. NOW or NEVER. Get out there and talk Kerry up and keep your chin up. We want the group that thinks and hopes and WORKS for a better day not the group that wants MORE OF THE SAME.

NO.

After Kerry gets elected, the next big project is going to be getting some sort of liberal-friendly news network on the air. I truly believe we've swung about as far right as this country is willing to go, and now the pendulum is due to swing back.

17. two words: supreme court
I'd also suggest (not that I believe it) that Bush could be better, especially toward the end of his second term, and we'd get 8 MORE years of nut case republicans. We'd be down the tubes by then.

If we win this one, it will be in part to our refusal to be bullied. It is possible we won't sit still for another round of impeachment crap.

25. I know its tough...
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 08:11 PM by Shadow30
....Bush zombies twist facts into lies, spout pointless catch phrases with no basis in reailty. Some admit that Bush is ripping the economy apart, ruining so many aspects of American life but still think he is stronger on security and will not listen to anything even close to reason. The media props up this despot Bush no matter what, spinning the worst stories into nothingness, ignoring the facts and tearing apart anyone that disagrees.
Its going to get to some of us sometimes its only natural but its also what they want. The Bush image is just that ,image, they want us to think they are everywhere and we are an ant facing down a tidal wave. Its tough because Bush has people in all the right places to make us think his people are everywhere,he is like a boogeyman we see everywhere in the back of every closet and under every bed but that part is a lie.Bush wants you to think he is winning even when he is losing in war,in elections and the media helps him but its lies. Kerry's support is from the people, Bush is media,Bush is image, its smoke and mirrors and without it he is merely a bad president that has to much stubborness and not enough intelligence. There are enough that see threw the illusion, that know the emperor is naked.Yes its tough,we worry not enough will see threw the Bush lies, that they will cave because of some Bush commerical full of baseless lies.We must simply have faith in our own base,in the people because thats were our friends are, down on the street not at the papers or on TV.
You want Bush zombies to suffer the consequences`of there actions to see just how disasterous there choice is.Yes this would be the ultimate punishment but its a luxury we cannot afford, the price to high,if Bush wins there's not one of us that isn't doomed.Try sometimes to stop thinking about Bush zombies and think about the people in your life that you care about and what they will face with 4 more years.I know just about every person I know will go under,me included with 4 more years of Bush,I am hardly making ends meet...the truth is I am not,its just a matter of time unless things get better. We will all face terrible days ahead and we Dems are in the unfortunate postion of having to save not just ourselves from 4 more years of GW but of saving the republicians from themselves, its a thankless task and one which we will get not graditude for but at least the people we care about will have a future,America will have a future.

...it gets to me to,it breaks my heart sometimes to see people make such dreadful mistakes, ones we all know they will pay dearly for but they themselves just don't see it.Sometimes I feel like I'm in Germany in the early 30's and were trying to warn people of this dangerous man.The media wants us all here to think everyone is on there side its a lie but its tough because the media really beats us over the head with it and Bush people are beyond blind there under a spell.I just saw John Edwards speak today,it was mid afternoon and still the people came and the cheered,he talked about the economy and when he suggested that we outsource Bush and Cheney went nuts.Bush people? There were a few,I saw 3 and they were treated like a joke by the rest of us,we laughed at them, thats Bush people when the smoke and mirrors are gone, when the real people get together and say "Bush must go!".

27. Hi johnnie, I'm pretty new here but wanted to tell you to
please keep your chin up. We can't afford to start doubting ourselves or harboring negative thoughts.

This may be completely wacky of me, but I have stopped watching most news on television. I've been getting my updates from this site, other internet sites that I trust and of course (to give me much needed laughs) Jon Stewart and the Daily Show. I know how biased those reports on conventional news networks are and I no longer trust them. If I did watch, I would be perpetually depressed and what good would that do?

Personally I think that they want us all to think that there is no hope for Kerry. They think if they keep telling us that Kerry is behind Bush or the race is tight, people won't get out and vote thinking there is no hope. That's bs, and we know it! Don't let them win--we need you! :)

We may have a fight on our hands in the very near future, so we need all the good, positive energy we can get. You hang in there!

If he tanked the country completely the Kool-Aid drinkers will still be lapping up Rovian propaganda all the way down. If they can't see what a disaster this administration has been at this point they never will. If the next 30 years were nothing but Repug administrations which completely destroyed the economy and environment and the vast majority of freeps were homeless they'd still be blaming Clinton for it.

40. People who vote for Bush are ignorant...
and judgement impaired. Some of them are just plain impaired. Some Bush supporters don't know anything about the issues and don't know, or care, what damage Bush has done in four years. Some of them just listen to Rush and Hannity. Some of them are just one-issue voters: ABORTION--that's all they care about. They can be dirt-poor and barely able to put food on the table (or food on their families) but you can't believe in abortion under any circumstances to get their vote.

Go figure.

I don't think there's much we can do about people who won't listen. Some day they will live to regret their decision to cast a vote for that imbecile. All we can do is try to talk to people and hope for the best and VOTE on Nov. 2nd.

Kerry will win this race. I feel it deep down to my toes so cheer up; you're not alone!

We are all in this together, so let's be kind to each other.

the complete collapse of the economy will come within two years or so, if the pukes stay in power this election. lots of other bad things will happen soon thereafter, and even rove's media whores will not be able to spin his way out of it. then we can sweep them out in 2006 or 2008 at the latest, and be done with them for at least 50 years or so. Sadly, the only way to rid the planet of them completely is to let them self-destruct.

I am moving myself and my draft-aged kids to canada so smirky can't use them as cannon fodder, and all the morans that vote for him can send their kids off to die for the lying coward.
