1. Kick!
Shit, if they still connect Saddam with 9/11, we can associate this one easily with them.

3. What is the difference?
He goes around acting all put out because Kerry mentions Mary Cheney is a Lesbian, and then when he gets a chance on GMNA he panders to the GAY and Lesbian moderate vote while trying to still pander to the christian evangelicals

Call a Rose a Rose....
He supports GAY MARRIAGE>> do not let him get away with it.

He said I support "Civil Unions" Its ok with him if they have sex and legal rights in states just dont "call" it marriage.

Remember the sayings..

A Rose by any other name is still a Rose.

2. Well there have been more gay marriages than jobs these past four years
Bush must care more about gay marriage so much that he wants to make all of us marry gay and be unemployed!

5. Veering off the topic point, but...
I hope most folks here do realize there are serious legal differences between approving gay "civil unions" and gay marriage. For those who don't know the particulars involved, you can visit the website of the Human Rights Campaign at www.hrc.org

10. True...
And when cornered I'll bet they couldn't tell you the difference, either, not that they would approve of either civil unions OR marriage. It's enough for them simply to hate gay people and decry their basic human rights as "special rights".

It has surprised me, however, just how many folks even here on DU are unaware of the difference, and it's best to be armed with the facts.

8. He is saying this because he wants the LCR vote
He knows that without the Log Cabin vote, he will lose, so he is 'reaching out' to them, just like he did in 2000. He will reverse back to his real dividing stance of no marriage or unions.
Remember, he wanted to 'leave it to the states', then and soon as ONE state decided to allow it, he asks for a constitutional amendment to ban it federally.
