They say this is the earliest that they have ever endorsed a candidate. Jan. of 2004. It's just nice to see. You have to look on the right side down a bit. Kerry pic there.

3. CONSERVATION, League of Conservation Voters
They're an environmental group. Not surprising they'd pick Kerry over Bush long ago. It's the choice between trashing the planet or saving it.

4. It's the league of conservation voters.
As in 'save the trees and the water' -- and no surprise there. Kerry's environmental record makes him look like the Superman of conservation when you hold him up against Bush* on that score.

6. He is the Superman of conservation
Compared to almost anybody. That's why the league endorsed him so early. RJK, Jr. too. Several letters from other leaders of the conservation movement said it was disgraceful groups hadn't endorsed after all Kerry had done in his lifetime.

7. I was aware his enviro record was good,
and that was good enough for me, since he's 'within acceptable tolerances' even on the few things I don't necessarily agree 100% on. I wish it could be pounded into ignorant people's heads how important this particular issue is going to become in the next decade, but unfortunately I get a sort of 'you big hippie,' or 'don't throw me esoteric bullshit -- who would you rather have a beer with?' attitude out of (non-Dem) people, when I mention this. 'Yeah, but will a healthy environment protect us from terr'ists?'

Well, not really. But if we survive the 'terr'ists' only to be consigned to live in an environmental dung heap, at what price did we stave off the inevitable and why did we bother?

8. But it's all connected
Oil dependence, enviornment, alternative energy. Stealing their oil, polluting the world, slave labor, hate America. We have to force our corporations to treat people around the world better so they'll stop hating us. Based on his support of the Jordan Trade Agreement, and introduction and support of environmental, human and labor rights in treaties; I think we can move forward on this and it'll help the terrorist problem too.

Freeper response, liberal appeaser. lol.
