Did anyone just hear Greg Palast on AAR?? 11:40 EDT
I am blown away by what I just heard on Morning Sedition on AAR.

Palast just said that he has evidence of 4000 college student signatures that were forged by GOP operatives in order to illegally change their addresses/party affiliations so that when the students go to the polls, they will be *registered in 2 locations* so they will be barred from voting.

He said that the students were originally approached to sign a petition with an issue concerning marijuana, and lo and behold, on the back of what the students were signing, was a change of voter registration directive.

Voila! The GOP operatives have the students' addresses and 4000 original signatures, which were forged in order to submit a change of address/party affiliation without the students' knowledge.

This is grand theft of our election, people.

3. He didn't name the county, that I heard.... we are headed for an ugly,
and frightening scenario.

Palast also said that one of the GOP forgery operatives is the daughter of an elected (or election) official...

Keep fighting! We will win against this tyranny.

6. Late edit:
Needed to correct my post above:

Palast also said that one of the students whose registration was illegally altered is the stepdaughter of an election official...

The official is Election Supervisor Ion Sancho in Tallahassee.

This is confirmed by the video of the Palast report.

Sorry for the confusion.

2. But doesn't that happen all the time?
People move, they register in their new location, and the new elections dept may or may not contact the old place to purge them. What's illegal is trying to VOTE in two different locations.

5. You're right. What the GOP wants is only to cause so much confusion
that the voter ends up giving up in disgust and causing more delay at the poll sign-in.

It's all about whatever the GOP can do to cause delay and voter supression. And it's all about running out the clock on election day hours.

I would be willing to bet money that the *new addresses* are several hundred miles away.

4. And at least one student lost loan or grant monies because they
"registered" to vote in a differnt state and no longer qualified.

If I find the link I'll post it.
