Finally something made an impact! (please don't flame me!)
I've been a Kerry supporter from the beginning. But I have a friend who has been straddling the fence. Says she doesn't really like either candidate. I gave her the "It's unrealistic to expect a perfect candidate" speech & have sent her tons of stuff about the incompetence & arrogance of bushco. She has three children, one son who is 16. I mentioned the possibility of many more years of war in Iraq & the draft. That chilled her, but she was still hemming & hawing. (Man, I just don't get it!!!) So out of desperation I sent her this:

...AND IT WORKED!!! She called yesterday to say she was going to vote for Kerry cuz at least I had a sense of humor, something her repub friends haven't shown at all. She also said that my arguments were well thought out & backed with articles & quotes, & whereas theirs were simply bashing Kerry & all dems & liberals.

6. There is nothing untrue about this...
The magnitude of the difference may be under-represented.

Bush Sucks Infinitely

Kerry sucks not at all.

thus Bush>Kerry when it comes to sucking.

12. The choice for me is
between Orwellian tyranny or restoring Democracy.

I think it is obvious who stands for what. We need an Administration that will give us some opportunity to reverse the tide of this political oligarchy. We have to stop this rapid decline into Fascism.

Kerry is the only choice, in that case.

When I read "Don't flame me..." I thought it was going to be a pun on the Plame incident, and the cover-up!

14. I love it
I posted a message to a special interest group and got flamed for bringing up politics. I didn't even mention a candidate or issue, just that I was burned out and missed the luxury of enjoying myself. I think we really need to start making politics a positive thing. We need to be able to discuss politics without anger.
I love your "sucks less" graphic. Where'd you find that?

15. No, no flaming. Her repub friends couldn't compromise, but you could.
You showed her how JK plans to run his own admin., by reaching across the aisle and connecting on whatever level gets people to listen and think. Your humor helped your friend, but it's not the only thing swaying her vote for Kerry. It put her over the top, though! :toast: :toast:

18. For a lot of undecideds, this could be the tipping point
you may never be able to convince them Kerry is Great, but you can convince them Kerry sucks less. Obviously a tool of last resort.
