Is it just me or is Zell Miller good for democrats?
Zell is going to be with Bush in a couple Midwest states in order to "win over moderate democrats". If you ask me I think this strategy is complete bunk for these reasons: 1. Zell got probably the loudest applause at the RNC hate fest 2. Zell is a lunatic (see Tweety Duel). Why would anyone listen to him? 3. Zell actually FIRES up democrats that would NEVER vote for Bush.

Honestly I could not have been happier when I hear that Zell will be appearing with Chimpy, and I do not think democrats are stupid enough to fall for it. Anyone agree/disagree?

3. Zell Miller Great for Our Cause in the 8th grade and up constituency
That rules out many solid red states but leave us more than enough potential votes to win.

whom the Repugs are exploiting. A "vulnerable adult", one could say.

Sad really.

7. The repugs are welcome to him.
He can only help to hasten their defeat on November 2.
I'm embarrassed to admit that I voted for him for governor. However, in retrospect, he was better than our current repug gov, Sonny Perdue.

9. Even the Repugs are less enchanted with Sonny Boy.
Bill Shipp has written about that in the Banana-Herald.

:hi: Hi CottonBear!

11. I actually met Sonny back in 2000.
I was invited to a BBQ which turned out to be a repug campaign event.
When I got to the head of the BBQ line there was Sonny Perdue! He asked for my vote. I told him I belonged to the other party and didn't vote Republican. He said "well, I'm more of a populist than a Republican." I said that I'd be voting Democratic and wished him good luck with his campaign. He then totally ignored all of my co-workers who were in line behind me. I think that he was surprised to find a Democrat there.

Hi mac56!

8. Loyalty Oath
I don't think it means shit who he's with cause they all buy tickets and sign loyalty oaths so they're all going to vote for him anyways, and I can't believe that they're saying look at this huge!! crowd when there is only about 4000 people that fill up a airport hanger.

12. i don't think dems, mod or not, look to zell for leadership
perhaps in ga or another southern state he could garner a following, but i don't see why any dem in IA, MN, or WI will look at at zell miller as a role model. I don't think he helps bush much at all, at least not in any state he needs help in.

And I think he definitely gets those who don't like bush fired up, even if they aren't totally sold on Kerry. And he's easy to make fun of. I think he's a net gain for Kerry.

13. Not in Georgia....We've voted Dem since the 2nd election
for President. We've only voted 2 GOP presidents into office, and we didn't elect a GOP governor during the entire 20th century.

Zell screwed us. Now the Georgia Democratic Party is in really bad shape, and state Republicans have reached parity, if not surpassed the Dems.
