NPR yesterday: A pundit was discussing "rock stars" of both parties...
He said that it is very likely that Schwarzenegger won't be campaigning for Bush in Ohio and other swing states because they disagree on many issues, like abortion and stem cell research.

He said that Schwarz has his own plane, and isn't dependent on the president to get him to swing states, but at the same time, he can delay visiting or not visit at all.

Has anyone heard any more news on this?

This same pundit said that, if he loses, Bush probably won't appoint a new justice before the congress reconvenes, because it would be horrific for his reputation to do so. My opinion is that everything he has done during his term has been very polarizing, and "reputation" wouldn't stop him.

2. That's what the pundit said...
But there have been intimations from the Bush campaign that he would visit Ohio on Bush's behalf.

That's bad for Bush--he says that Arnold's coming, but Arnold doesn't show. With all of the news about newspapers and other groups that in the past endorsed Bush, but now endorse Kerry, it could make Bush look really bad.

4. The pundit is a Pollyanna
"...if he loses, Bush probably won't appoint a new justice before the congress reconvenes, because it would be horrific for his reputation to do so." (sez a pundit)

Oh yeah, just like Bush was going to be moderate because he was selected without a mandate???
