Reporter on Lou Dobbs: Pentagon is searching for an alibi for Bush
Edited on Wed Oct-27-04 05:17 PM by girl gone mad
The sr. Pentagon reporter on Lou Dobbs just said that the Pentagon is searching for satellite images or other evidence which would show that the explosives were removed before the war.

I wonder how long it will take them to make something up. Don't they have better things to do than cover Bush's ass? Why weren't they trying to find out what happened to these weapons before it became an issue that hurts Bush politically?

Other than to cover bush's ass. I would have thought that they would have known if they were moving this stuff around years ago. This is a bullshit deal courtesy of george w bush aka the chimp.

5. They're screwed either way. If they find photos of a convoy just
crusing on out of town, they got their timeline covered but then they leave themselves open to why they didn't do anything about it THEN?

7. Exactly right.
They could take pictures of the explosives being taken, but they couldn't do anything about it - - for a year and a half?!

Pathetic.

it's hard to spin this one. The "WE DON'T KNOW" defense looks even more ridiculous now that they are searching for the images NOW- good LORD, they've had since March 2003 and they're only NOW investigating 380 TONS OF MISSING EXPOSIVES??? WTF?????

13. Could you get major sponsors.
I was talking to a Communications Major the other day, and he swears that there is no liberal or conservative bias to the media. The bias, according to him, is up. All the way up to the sponsors. In order for the network, the execs and commentators to make the money they make, they have to do what the sponsors want them to do. It's the flow of money.

19. Corporatism
Fascism. Slim line. Yep, it's the money. One of these days I'm going to sit down and track the Saudi money that flows into AOL/Time Warner. Prince Alsaud has put in a couple billion, seems like I read that somewhere. But we can shake them up, Sinclair proved that. Actually, it's selling the stock that seemed to make the difference, not threatening to boycott specific products.

18. And they're only moving on this NOW - since somebody let the cat out
of the bag. They're only starting to do something about this now, and only because they got busted.

10. Two reporters, The New York Times, the IAEA Notice
the Pentagon spokesman, the 3rd Infantry brigade spokesman all on record as saying they were not secured.

If Bush can turn this into a victory I will get a transgender operation and give him sex in the cargo bay of Air Force One.

12. The Bushies are royally screwed on this deal...
and are essentially like a dog chasing it's own tail. If they were smart, they would just come clean and admit they screwed up instead of trying to spin their way out of a no-win situation.

17. They're only searching NOW?
The stuff has been gone for 18 months and only now are they trying to figure out what happened to it? Only now to prop up the *? So it wasn't important until it affected *'s reselection?

20. Bush & Co didn't care about this problem until week before election!
Bush & Co have managed to cover up or downplay everything else that is damaging to Bush from the Plame leak to the CIA 9/11 report to the Energy meetings to the flu shortage documents. The only thing that seems to matter to them is to deny the seriousness of these issues and keep the lid on without confronting or fixing problems so that they can get another 4 years to complete the damage.

It is a wonder that this story is still going strong in the mainstream media. ABC's report on evening news was quite damning tonight.

22. It doesn't matter. The only voters to believe B*sh are voting for him
no matter what happens between now and Nov. 2nd. People who don't believe B*sh aren't voting for him, anyway. This looks very bad, but it really doesn't change many voters' minds, IMO.

However, every bit of evidence will be another proverbial nail in their coffins when this admin. goes on trial for war crimes.
