A question on the primaries' delegates
I'm assuming that this varies by state, so responses regarding each state would be appreciated.

Are there states with a "winner take all delegates" rule, as in the electoral college approach?

If not, do most states give delegates in exact proportion to the candidates' polling percentages? i.e. If NH had 100 delegates to the national convention, and candidates a, b, c, and d each won 25% of the popular Dem. primary vote, would they each get 25 delegates at the convention?

1. I believe there are ways candidates can take all
but it depends upon the percentage the other candidates get.

I believe with eight candidates in the field, it is more likely to occur in certain states, mathematically.

2. In most primaries this year,
the delegates are distributed proportionally between people who get > 15% of the support. I am not sure about the rounding details.

3. Well
As far as I know, this year all state primaries (not sure about caucuses or states that are not holding primaries) will conform to new universal rules, that being proportional delegates to all nominees that carry 15% or more of the vote. So if you have someone at 45 percent, someone at 20, one at fifteen, and a bunch of scattered singles, you take the three above fifteen, throw out the rest of the votes, and recalculate the percentages based on the new vote count.

4. Thanks all - big help
Sounds good to me, especially if there are no "winner take all delegates" states. I'm afraid that alot of candidate supporters here think it's all-or-nothing, and should adjust their approaches to the realities you've pointed out.
