Former Senator Kerrey to help Kerry Presidential Campaign
Vietnam veteran and former U-S Senator Bob Kerrey is campaigning in Iowa for Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.

Kerrey is a Congressional Medal of Honor winner and a former member of the elite Navy SEAL team. He will join the John Kerry campaign tonight in the Council Bluffs area.

Bob Kerrey served Nebraska in the U-S Senate for 12 years and he was the state's governor for four years.

John Kerry also served in Vietnam and has been trying to gain support from Iowa's 292-thousand armed forces veterans.

2. Great news
I've always like Bob Kerrey...almost as much as John Kerry! Wouldn't it be a hoot if JK won the nomination and asked BK to run with him as VP. Kerry/Kerrey 2004. That would be pretty funny.

4. i have been for that
because i just like the sound of it. but bob kerrey seems like a pretty good guy also. a senator from NEBRASKA who voted against defense of marriage act. how many times will we see something like that ? and i'm sure most know that john kerry also voted against it.

7. Isn't Kerrey a suspected war criminal???
Didn't he committ war crimes in Vietnam? I'm almost certain that a whitewash committee let him off, but his men said that he was a war criminal, tried and true. Correct me if I'm, wrong, but why would a generally anti-war candidate accept the support from a person who is known to have committed crimes against humanity?

9. Vietnam was a shithole
Get off of it. That war is over. All wars are horrible. There is no glory in war, any war. They both know it. I have absolutely no idea what drives people to villify others over circumstances they have absolutely not the foggiest clue about.

11. An overwhelming majority of Americans honor our military. They also vote.
