Watched Kerry in Madison
When Springsteen was singing..........these words made me tear up

Now young faces grow sad and old and hearts of fire grow cold
We swore blood brothers against the wind
I'm ready to grow young again
And hear your sister's voice calling us home across the open yards
Well maybe we could cut someplace of our own
With these drums and these guitars

Blood brothers in the stormy night with a vow to defend
No retreat no surrender

For all of us OLD political warriors.....this is our rallying cry.

2. But When We Brought Down the Johnson Administration
Unlike today, the average voter could think independently on his feet. Those that didn't immediately back us, we were able to reason over to our side.

I'm worried about the cerebrally constipated "red state" voters. You can't persuade the brain dead.

5. Kerry's got WI in the bag. Key states seem to be
MN, IA, MO, AR, AZ, NV, FL

maybe VA or WV

we HAVE to win ONE of those.

6. The huge difference in the crowds ..
for Kerry/Springsteen vs Bush/Schwarzenegger is Bush is preaching to the choir since it's by invitation only.

7. Interesting to see
that there was a Bush Supporter holding up a "Wisconsin is Bush Country" sign behind Kerry while he was speaking.

Repubs should note:

a). The person got into the rally WITHOUT a loyalty oath!
b). He/she wasn't hustled off by Secret Service in handcuffs.
c). He/she wasn't knocked to the ground and beaten by Kerry supporters.

10. Madison Rally
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 02:50 PM by newsfox
Saw only the Boss part on TV, as C-Span did not cover it. What I saw looked great! About 40,000-60,000 people from what I hear.

I went to the rally here in Pueblo, CO., last Saturday. The numbers were reported to be at 7,500 or so. But, I assure everyone here that this is less than half of what I estimate were there.

Madison looked wonderful.

14. That's what a co-worker who was there told me
She said 100K easy. West Wash wasn't just full curb-to-curb. It was full porch-to-porch, balcony-to-balcony, and all the way up to the roofs! Plus it spilled over onto the sides streets. From the way she described it, you couldn't have fit more people in there if you'd tried.

15. If memory serves MSNBS said they were only expecting 40,000.

Can't wait to find out how many will show up for this one either.

Springsteen will appear at another rally later today on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus. He will also join Kerry on Election Eve in Cleveland.
