Did John Edwards seek help to curtail excessive blinking?
I'm an Edwards supporter and this is dead serious, and anything but a knock on Edwards.

After following his career since '98 Senate, there is a stunning change to his eye travels lately -- they are virtually normal. No more frantic blinking or periods when he shuts both eyes for several seconds at a time while responding. I just pulled my tape of last year's Roe v. Wade anniversary dinner, the Democratic '04 kickoff event from almost a year ago, and the transformation is amazing. There were a couple of threads on DU regarding Edwards' runaway blinking after that event.

Kudos to Edwards if he quietly sought professional help, knowing it would be beneficial during a presidential bid. At age 50 I doubt he could simply will the transition. My sister underwent months of therapy to change her natural tongue position from one that would eventually push her upper teeth outward, so I'm certain help would be available for excessive blinking.

2. Not worried, just aware
Every presidential year my friend and I convene 12 to 20 apolitical friends to watch debates, and you wouldn't believe the observations and priorities. Things like facial expressions and demeanor trump elongated policy theory with percentage points to spare.
