Even the evangelicals are worried about a Bunnypants re-election.
No kidding; read this (both stories) from Truthout:

But GOP strategists might want to have a chat with Tim Moore, an evangelical who teaches civics at a traditional Christian school near Milwaukee. He shares Bush's religious convictions, but says the president has lost his vote because of tax cuts for the wealthy and the administration's shifting rationales for invading Iraq.

"There's no way I'm going for Bush. That much I know," said Moore, 46. He remains undecided between Democratic Sen. John F. Kerry of Massachusetts and a third-party candidate.

Moore reflects a potential problem for Bush in Wisconsin and other closely contested states, where the GOP and conservative groups have invested heavily in turning out a record conservative Christian vote through mailings, voter guides, targeted phone calls and announcements by prominent evangelists such as Jerry Falwell and James Dobson aired on religious radio stations.

Some of these targeted voters remain conflicted - torn between their religious convictions on so-called values issues, and concerns typical of suburban moms and dads, such as jobs, healthcare, the Iraq war and the environment.

A shaky base for him is a winner for us. If even 5% abstain or don't go to the polls, it's good for us. Some might actually consider a vote for Kerry, but it's unlikely.

1. Someone showed me a newer poll of evengelicals than Pew
Showing Bush's support among them dropping into the high sixties. Between the evangelicals conflicdted over the war and Bush's lack of compassionate conservatism, and those who are angry about his recent statemetns on civil unions, we could consideragbly more than five percent not voting this year.

2. High sixties? WOW. Even if they choose to stay home, it shows
that they haven't bought the "God-talk" tripe.

I thought this was also interesting in that it showed that many are uncomfortable with the "pro-life" label applied to those who support war and that they are concerned about the environment.

I know I interpret the "dominion" passages far differently than Bunnypants.

3. Maybe I have to reevaluate the intelligence of evangelicals....
They obviously aren't ALL as stupid and gullible as I had thought they were. And I'm GLAD to have been wrong about this one!:7

4. I'm aware of a couple of evangelical websites
that are advocating voting for a third party candidate. Some of them are upset over the civil union thing, but others seem concerned about the lack of Christianity behind many of his policies and actions.

Fine with me - obviously some of them still have some brain cells left.
