Trick or Treat? "She's pretty nice for a Kerry supporter!"

Just handed out some more candy to the little looters that call themselves trick-or-treaters. One kid, 'bout 10 or 11 I'd say, pointed into my bucket and said, "Can I have that one?" I grabbed it up, along with a handful of this or that and said, "You sure can!"

As I turned to close the door I heard him say, "Hey Mom! She's pretty nice for a Kerry Supporter!" I turned back and smiled at his scowling mother.

Trick or Treat, indeed!

2. It's not even 7:30, and I'm out of candy...

Of course, I waited until the last second today to go to the dollar store to get candy, only bought $8.00 worth, and was a little too generous handing fistfuls of it out. Now I'm in the computer room in the dark hiding from the little moochers.
