China Lays Into 'Bush Doctrine' Ahead of U.S. Poll
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 11:05 PM by BrentTaylor
Quotes like this actually worry me

The United States was dreaming if it thought the 21st century was the American century, wrote Qian Qichen, one of the main architects of China's foreign policy, in a commentary in the English-language China Daily newspaper.

"The current U.S. predicament in Iraq serves as another example that when a country's superiority psychology inflates beyond its real capability, a lot of trouble can be caused," Qian wrote.

"But the troubles and disasters the United States has met do not stem from the threats by others, but from its own cocksureness and arrogance."

1. Ingrates!
This is the thanks they give Bush after he let them have so many U.S. jobs and run a historic trade deficit with the United States!

2. But that's okay. Corporate america has China in its back pocket.
I wouldn't worry for that reason alone.

Now if we can only wrap up that coveted French endorsement.

superiority by my contrymen and women. It is a claim stemming from discomfort and fear with foreign cultures, religions, and customs - despite being a true melting pot of people.

It has sent me into craziness for many years.

I feel we've only truly been superior in our constitution which good people had to fight and die for within our own country to some perfection and a lot of imperfection. We were protected by good neighbors and oceans, but we took advantage of people all over the earth by usury rates on loans at the same time we sent aid.

We were superior in some technology ahead of other countries, but we're losing that now as a result of out-sourcing and selling.

We were superior in the ethics of some of our citizens and by our work output, but our streets have been ruined by government sponsored illegal drugs and our jobs are disappearing.

All our teachings say that we are a brotherhood of man on this earth, but you wouldn't know it by the words and actions that come out of the mouths of some citizens and leaders.

It's time for humility and a resurging strength and a stop to devestating and destructive policies.
