Signs! Signs! Everywhere Signs! Michigan for KERRY!
It's tough to get up on a Monday morning. It's tough to start the car, load it with Halloween Hungover children for the morning cart and crab...

And then, what to my sleep deprived eyes did appear???

Kerry/Edwards signs!!! No W signs!! People of Faith for Kerry signs! Catholics for Kerry signs!!! Who would Jesus bomb? signs!

From the 20 overpasses ( I counted) with Freeway Bloggers for Kerry, to the parking lot of my son's school. From the pumpkins carved with Kerry '04 to the little boy who came to the door last night dressed as America's Future with Kerry buttons all over him. From the smallest house down on the corner to the big 6,000 sq. ft. house on the lake (giving out the giant full size candy bars)....

Signs!!

I know there are many who feel that signs don't vote...people do. But I am of the belief that many people vote based on signs. Many people do not watch the cable shows. Many people don't even watch the evening news anymore. Many people do what their neighbors are doing....

What are my neighbors doing? They're overwhelmingly going with Kerry/Edwards. They're voting for Hope. They're voting for Change. And today, on a sleepy Monday morning....it's energizing!! I'll be canvassing. Will you?

Oh yeah...one lonely Bush/Cheney sign at the end of our street that they bring in every night and put out every morning, because you just know how evil we Democrats are!!!

Go Kerry! Go Edwards! Go DEMOCRACY!!!

:hi: :bounce: :hi: :bounce:

3. Not one freeper phone call here in the Motor City. And I haven't
seen a cavasser either. But then we have a yard sign and a windo sign. A few people I have talked with while canvassing have said they've had B/C people to their door. :hi:

5. Don't know where in MI you are,
but here in East Lansing/Okemos/Meridian TWP, I'm seeing easily 5 to 1 Kerry. My whole street has Kerry signs. In my neighborhood, there's 30 or so Kerry to 4 or so Bush.

8. On the shores of the once beautiful Lake St. Clair. It is incredible to
see the huge Kerry/Edwards signs on the lawns of the houses of the rich and famous in Grosse Pointe. We got a good thing going here in Michigan. :hi:

I didn't do it because I'm sick, but I know the kids who did, if it was on 94.

What signs did they end up using? I emailed some suggestions, so I'm kind of curious. The plan was to get them up for rush hour and also for the folks going to the rally today.

9. Where in Michigan do you live?
I live in Dearborn, and, although I am impressed with the large number of Kerry signs, I do have to say that I see an AWFUL lot of Shrub signs as well.... Not trying to dampen your optimism at all, as I KNOW Kerry is going to take our state. Couldn't be any other way, with our economy in the crapper the way it is...

13. Great to hear it! Seeing the same here...
And I'm in a repug county of Colorado.

I've never seen people so galvanized. And I think that there are many conservatives in this area, but they don't believe in Bush enough to put a sign up -- and I don't think they believe in him enough to vote either.
