I actually saw a show on CNN this weekend discussing the possibility of bias in the media - with Bush's former speechwriter as the guest - suggesting that the media was biased against Bush because of Rathergate.
Keep your eeyes from rolling out of your skull.
At the same time, they constantly show images of Osama Bin Laden and speak of this as the first post-9/11 election. They questioned whether it was biased to show Bin Laden or the "American Al-Qaeda" (Karl Rove with a towel over his face) or the missing weapons story.
Of course, the problem isn't the timing of these stories, but the utter lack of context that CNN is so wonderful for.
Among the things that was pissing me off was the absence of any Bush cowboy talk about Bin Laden back in 2001 - smoking him out of his cave, wanted dead or alive - or his stunning reversal during the buildup to Iraq - not a concern, etc.
I'm not even asking for a discussion of the specifics of Tora Bora - I'm not looking for miracles here - but the DNC should have this plastered all over their talking points at the very least and we should be blasting the media with e-mails over this.
