Besides, IMO straight-ticket voting is anti-Democracy. Expend the minimal effort to at least pretend like you're giving every race due consideration.

If there are races where there is no Dem running (and there are a lot in Texas) using the straight-ticket button will prevent you from voting against the Republican via Libertarian or other third-party choices.

OR, what if the Democrat is a complete goof? Better not to vote that race, or maybe the Republican or 3rd party is a palatable alternative (it COULD happen!)
